I love knitted frogs.
Especially ones on Instagram.
I know; it sounds weird.
My husband didn’t know this about me until very recently, when a dear friend gifted me my very own needlework frog.
When I told him how excited I was because of my fondness for Instagram knitted frogs, he gaped at me.
“If we were on a game show where they ask you trivia questions about your spouse,” he said slowly, “I’d have gotten that one wrong.”
In his defense, he’s not on Instagram, so he doesn’t know what he’s missing vis a vis knitted and crocheted amphibians. This account is my favorite.
Go on, take a look. I’ll wait.

See? So cozy, right?!
And while we’re talking about coziness, I’m pleased to say that I just turned in the second Maple Bishop book to my editor! I had so much fun re-visiting Elderberry with the gang from DITD—and even taking Maple and Kenny on a little road trip this time around!
More about the new book soon.
Upcoming Events
I’m excited to attend the New England Crime Bake conference in Massachusetts this weekend! If you’re there, come say hi during the debut author signing event on Saturday from 5:30-6:30 outside the banquet hall!
On November 16th from 12:00-1:00, I’ll be a guest bookseller at the delightful River Bend Bookshop in Glastonbury, CT. Stop by if you’re in the area!
Recent Events
Thanks to both Barnes and Noble stores that recently hosted me for book signings; the staff at the Glastonbury and Enfield (CT) locations were so welcoming! I met some really nice, enthusiastic readers at both stores and left a few signed copies of DITD as well.
Special shout out to Adrienne in the Enfield cafe for inventing a special themed drink in honor of Maple! I’m still giddy about this.

Recent Read
Michael Connelly is my favorite contemporary crime writer, so I was thrilled that he had a new book out last month. In this one, intrepid detective Harry Bosch plays a more minor (though still important) role; Renee Ballard takes the lead. I enjoyed a surprising plot twist involving Harry’s daughter, who is now an LAPD officer herself.
Thanks for reading!
